🏃 AI Nutritionist for Endurance Athletes
Fork to finish
The Problem: Everyone’s an athlete these days. Run club this, half marathon that…and don’t get me started on Hyroxes... And these athletes spend hundreds on a Garmin, expensive running shoes and (frankly disgusting) energy gels, but then go ahead and fuel themselves with whatever they fancy. They need a sports nutritionist, but even their advice is either too generic or too expensive. A proper dietitian runs $200+ per session and still won't have access to your actual training data. For 50 million recreational runners, cyclists, and triathletes, that's a very expensive guess. Here's what we're thinking.
The Solution:
💡 The Idea: An AI nutritionist that connects to your fitness wearable and generates daily fuelling plans for athletes
🛠️ Product:
Connect your wearable on day one - the AI pulls your training history, calculates your baseline calorie needs, and builds a personalised nutrition profile based on your sport, goals, and body metrics.
You add in your training schedule and you get a daily fuel plan that matches what you're actually doing - high-carb pre-load before intervals, protein-heavy recovery on rest days, carb periodisation in race week. It adjusts in real time as your training load shifts.
Specific meal suggestions, supplement timing (creatine, caffeine, electrolytes), and race-day nutrition windows are all tied to your actual schedule. It also looks at your training performance and over time dials in your diet more and more

💼 Business Model: $19/month subscription. B2B2C through running clubs, triathlon teams, and coaching platforms. Whitelabel version for coaches at scale.
⭐ End Goal: Acquired by a wearable company (Garmin, Polar, Wahoo) or sports nutrition brand (Precision Hydration, Maurten) wanting a direct-to-athlete data layer. Target exit 8-12x ARR.

🔬 How to Stress-Test Your Startup Idea with 6 AI Frameworks

The Context: Most founders spend months building something before a 30-minute thinking session would have caught the fatal flaw. These six frameworks are used by the best builders in the world to pressure-test ideas before writing a line of code. Here's how to run all six before you build anything.
Step-by-step:
Head to Claude, ChatGPT, or whatever AI model you use.
Paste in the prompt below, describe your idea in as much detail as possible, and hit send. The prompt runs six frameworks back to back - the Mom Test, market sizing, a pre-mortem, a competitor teardown, a "why now?" check, and a moat assessment - and ends with one question: what is the single biggest unresolved risk, and what is the cheapest way to test it in the next two weeks?
Read the output without getting defensive. The failure modes that sting the most are the ones worth taking seriously. Use it to decide whether to build, pivot, or kill the idea before you've spent a single hour on it.

Five minutes to read, instant value to apply, and zero hype to filter out yourself.
